You can add SpiceAssurance even after your booking is

SpiceAssurance can be purchased up to one hour prior to departure on all domestic flights.

ADD SPICEASSURANCE TO YOUR BOOKING NOW

  1. SpiceAssurance is only available on domestic flights and can be pre-booked from www.spicejet.com or SpiceJet's reservation centre for a refundable cost of ₹59 per passenger per one-way trip.
  2. Passengers can purchase SpiceAssurance while or after making their bookings, up to one (01) hour before the scheduled departure of the flight.
  3. SpiceAssurance is not available for "infants".
  4. SpiceJet will issue an e-voucher to passengers whose flights are delayed beyond their scheduled departure time or cancelled by the airline. The voucher will either be given out on the actual day of departure or the following day.
  5. The duration of the flight delay will be calculated from the time the flight is scheduled to depart until the doors of the aircraft are closed for takeoff. SpiceJet's final and binding decision is applicable in this matter.
  6. SpiceJet is not obligated to provide any vouchers in cases where the delay and/or cancellations are caused by Force Majeure events, meaning circumstances beyond SpiceJet's control leading to flight delays and/or cancellations that could not have been prevented even with reasonable care by SpiceJet. Such circumstances may include, but are not limited to, political instability, natural disasters, civil war, insurrection or riot, flood, explosion, government regulation and/or any order affecting the aircraft, strikes and labour disputes leading to cessation, slowdown, or interruption of work and/or any other factors beyond the control of SpiceJet.
  7. If a delay leads to a cancellation, each passenger will only receive one voucher for the cancelled flight. Only the person who receives the voucher can use it, and it cannot be paired with other vouchers for delays. The voucher is non-transferable.
  8. An automated SMS will be sent to passengers on the impacted flights directing them to SpiceJet's website www.spicejet.com , where they can redeem their voucher. Passengers who did not provide their contact details at the time of booking should contact SpiceJet's Customer Care team at +91-124-4983410 or +91-124-7101600 to obtain information about their voucher.
  9. The voucher will be valid for 90 days from and including the date of issuance.
  10. Vouchers issued to passengers under SpiceAssurance can be redeemed according to the voucher redemption process.
  11. The voucher is redeemable for the passengers to whom it was issued and only for bookings made at www.spicejet.com up to 30 days before the scheduled departure date.
  12. The voucher can only be applied to a fresh booking. On-board meals, extra baggage, seats, the carriage of sports equipment or any other specific item(s) (the carriage of which is otherwise chargeable) and/or any other special service request—none of these expenses can be paid for by the value of the voucher.
  13. Multiple vouchers can be used on a single booking as long as they are issued in the name of the passenger in whose name the booking is being made.
  14. The voucher(s) shall be valid for a single use only. Any partially spent or unused balance on the voucher cannot be used again and will not be reimbursed in any way.
  15. For booking(s) made using the voucher, if any changes and/or cancellations are made therein from the customer's end, then the voucher value will lapse in addition to the change fees and/or cancellation charges, and only the balance amount would be retained in a credit shell for subsequent utilisation by the passenger.
  16. In accordance with SpiceJet's cancellation policy, any such voucher provided under SpiceAssurance as a result of a flight cancellation shall be in addition to any and all other compensation to which the passenger(s) may be entitled (if any). All other terms and conditions for cancellation will remain the same.
  17. SpiceJet reserves the right to modify, alter, amend and/or change any and/or all of the terms and conditions made applicable to the offer or withdraw this product at any time without any prior notice.
