GURUGRAM, May 19, 2022: SpiceJet, India's favourite airline, in collaboration with Windows Production, orchestrated a surprise flash mob on the ‘Tapa Tini’ song from the movie, Belashuru, at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport.
The performance involving a team of 20 cabin crew and ground staff of SpiceJet led by renowned Bengali actress Monami Ghosh was staged as a tribute to Late Soumitra Chattopadhyay and Late Swatilekha Sengupta for their last work together in Belashuru.
SpiceJet is the official Airline Partner for the movie Belashuru, an endearing love story of an old couple that leaves a footprint on the sands of time and is scheduled to release in theatres on 20th May 2022. The movie is also the last work of Bengali film icons Soumitra Chattopadhyay and Swatilekha Sengupta who are the main protagonists in the story.
Soumitra Chattopadhyay had been awarded Padma Bhushan (2004) and Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2012) and is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential actors in the history of Indian Bengali cinema. He is best known for his collaborations with director Satyajit Ray, with whom he worked in several films. Swatilekha Sengupta is a recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for her contribution to Indian theatre as an actor.
