GURUGRAM, May 9, 2023: SpiceJet, the country"s favourite carrier, has launched BagProtekt, a service to protect passengers from the hassle of delayed or missing baggage. The add-on service offered in partnership with Blue Ribbon Bags offers expedited tracking and return of delayed or lost baggage on all domestic and international flights on the SpiceJet network.
Passengers can opt for the service at a nominal cost of INR 95 per person for domestic and INR 330 per person for international routes. This service covers up to two checked-in bags per passenger. Claim against lost/delayed baggage up to INR 19,000 for Domestic & INR 66,000 for international flight becomes applicable in case a bag remains untraced for 96 hours from the arrival of flight.

The add-on service is available at a nominal cost and offers expedited tracking and return of missing or delayed baggage and keeps our passengers posted on the status of their mishandled bag.”
Passengers can opt-in for the add-on service "BagProtekt" while booking flight on SpiceJet"s website. The service can also be added to an existing booking from the "manage booking section" on the airlines website. Blue Ribbon Bags will handle policy coverage, baggage tracking and processing of claim.
