Gurgaon, 18 March, 2017: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier,
continues its dominance in the aviation space by clocking the highest industry OTP
(On-time performance) and PLF (Passenger load factor) for the month of February 2017 as
per the statistics released by DGCA.
This is the fifth month in a row that the airline has topped the OTP charts. The airline
also topped the PLF metrics for the industry at 93.7% and invincibly stood tall having
garnered over 90% PLF for the 23rd month-in-a-row.
During February 2017, SpiceJet registered the highest OTP of 81.1% much ahead of all its
peers and also topped OTPs for the individual metros of Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai
with 91.8%, 80.6% and 75.2% respectively. The airline also registered a low
cancellation rate of only 0.39%.
“It has been our endeavour to provide our customers with a memorable flying experience
and getting them to their destination on-time, every time. I am very proud of the fact
that we have been the most punctual airline in the country for the fifth consecutive
month,” said Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet.
SpiceJet, which operates on an average 343 daily flights, carried almost 11.32 lakh
passengers during the month of February 2017.
