GURGAON, 2nd April 2015: SpiceJet, the second largest low fare airline
in India, today announced an exciting offer for customers to experience its SpiceMAX
product, as well as sample for free its all-new menu across its entire domestic and
international network.
The first 5 rows of SpiceJet’s Boeing aircraft, and the front row on the Bombardier Q400
aircraft, are especially configured to offer the unique extra-legroom SpiceMAX seats.
Customers opting for SpiceMAX not only get to enjoy significantly more space with at
least 6 inches more leg room compared to standard economy class seats, they also get to
enjoy express priority check-in at dedicated SpiceMAX counters at major airports.
Under this limited time offer, customers choosing SpiceMAX will also get to enjoy
a complimentary meal with beverage from SpiceJet’s all-new menu, as
well as priority baggage handling. This offer is valid for the period April 3 to April
30, 2015.
Ms Shilpa Bhatia, Sr Vice President and Head of Sales, SpiceJet Ltd., said,
“SpiceMAX has proven to be a very popular product among customers who value express
handling at the airport, and who prefer extra legroom and personal space in the
aircraft to work or relax. While such customers are not always willing to pay the huge
premium for Business Class, they are often comfortable paying a modest add-on fee for
greater comfort and convenience in economy class. And now with this offer, customers
can for a limited time also get a complimentary meal and beverage from our all-new
menu, as well as receive priority baggage handling.”
SpiceMAX is available for a modest fee of Rs 500 to Rs 1000 per sector (depending on
aircraft and flight length), and can be purchased by selecting a SpiceMAX seat on the
seat map at the time of booking, at any time after booking using the “Manage My
Booking” option, and at check-in (based on availability).
SpiceJet recently introduced a new menu that comprises of an exquisite range of both
vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. Cuisines from the North such as Chicken
Makhanwala, Dal Makhani and Paneer Do Pyaza have been carefully juxtaposed against
traditional South Indian favourites such as Mirch Ka Salan, Chicken Nilgiri, and Mixed
Veg Chettinad in the lunch/dinner menu. For those with a taste for Continental cuisine,
the airline offers Grilled Chicken Breast with Mushroom Sauce and many other delectable
meals.
SpiceJet has reconfigured its Boeing 737 fleet such that the first 5 rows have this
extra legroom, along with the exit row seats that have more legroom. SpiceJet’s Boeing
737 fleet has 30 SpiceMAX seats (first five rows). The Bombardier Q400 fleet has 4
SpiceMAX seats (the first row).
