Gurgaon, 19 December, 2016: SpiceJet, the country’s favourite carrier,
continues its dominance in the aviation space by clocking the highest industry OTP
(On-time performance) and PLF (Passenger load factor) for the month of November 2016 as
per the statistics released by DGCA. This is the third month in a row that the airline
has topped the OTP charts. SpiceJet also registered over 90% PLF for 19 consecutive
months.
During November 2016, SpiceJet registered a PLF of 92.5% and the OTP for the month stood
at 81.7%. The airline has also topped OTP for individual metros namely Mumbai, Delhi
and Hyderabad among airlines with sizeable industry operations. This is the fifth
consecutive month when SpiceJet has achieved the highest OTP in Mumbai.
SpiceJet, which operated on an average 329 daily flights and carried almost 11.48 lakh
passengers during the month, saw one of the lowest cancellation rates in the industry
with the figure for November 2016 being 0.67%.
