Gurgaon, 21 October, 2014: SpiceJet today announced the launch of its “Diwali Dhamaka” Sale, with one way fares starting as low as Rs. 899 (all-in). As always, sale fares depend on sector, flight and date of travel. Also seats available on sale are limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis. So don’t be under the impression that fares are always high in peak season -- grab these seats while they last!

Tickets can be booked from October 21, 2014 to October 26, 2014 for travel between the periods November 1, 2014 to December 15, 2014. The sale applies to all direct flights on SpiceJet's domestic network.

“We are always looking to bring the best offers to our customers, and are very happy to announce the Diwali Dhamaka sale. With this offer we are giving our customers one more chance to grab great deals at prices that are often lower than train fares in the six-week window between the travel peaks of Diwali and Christmas / New Years. These prices will not last long, so don’t waste any time – grab the seats before they are gone!” said Mr. Kaneswaran Avili, Chief Commercial Officer, SpiceJet Ltd.

“SpiceJet has fundamentally changed the air travel paradigm in India this year, with offers that are frequent and often lower than train fares”, said Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, SpiceJet. “These sales have helped the airlines fill empty seats, allowed more Indians to travel by air than ever before, and more often than before, and have helped air travel grow significantly year-over-year benefitting the entire travel ecosystem and larger economy. The large increase in the number of travelers has resulted in windfall passenger volumes and revenues for airports, travel agencies, OTAs, hotels, and local economies across the country throughout the year, even in low and shoulder seasons. It has fundamentally changed how air travel is viewed and used in India today; it is now more a form of mass transport than elite transport”, he concluded.

The fares charged under this offer are non refundable (however taxes and fees are always refundable). However changes are permitted for a fee of Rs. 2000 plus applicable fare difference. There is limited inventory under the offer available on First-Come-First-Served basis, and these fares are not applicable on group bookings.

Booking under this sale can be made on www.spicejet.com, at online travel portals, and through travel agents.
